The IMPÔT-BÉNÉVOLES DU SUROÎT group is made up of volunteers is who have been active in the larger Châteauguay / Mercier region for many years. Our organization is a recognized member of the INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE – VOLUNTEER PROGRAM administered jointly by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Revenu Quebec to assist qualifying taxpayers (modest income) in the production of their income tax return. On April 29th 2013, IMPÔT-BÉNÉVOLES DU SUROÎT was incorporated as a non profit organization and is now recognized as such by the cities of Châteauguay and Mercier.
Income tax clinics are offered to the population at predated sessions in selected public locals across town. Participants are asked to bring all pertinent documents at the session of their choice where their returns will normally be prepared and sent through the internet on the spot. No appointment required.
YOU QUALIFY IF:
You have a yearly income of/or below the following:
Single person: $40,000 · Couple: $45,000 · Single w/child: $45,000 · For each additional dependant add: $2,500 · Interest income of less than: $1,500
VOLUNTEERS DO NOT PREPARE RETURNS FOR:
Deceased persons, Bankrupt individuals, Clients who have capital gains/loses, People who are self-employed (employment expenses, business, or rental income and expenses).
